This Year's Festival of Birds takes the shape of a
single
and most wondrous concert at St George's
Bristol, on April 5th, featuring:

1ST HALF :

The Emerald Ensemble will perform music from the BBC's groundbreaking David Attenborough "Life on Earth"
by Bristol Composer Ed Williams. This project is the brain child of local Orchestrator and arranger Liz Purnell who has worked with Ed (now in his 80's) to reacreate the original score. The piece, all about birds, will be performed to a screen projection of the original BBC 1970's footage from the programme.

2ND HALF :

The extremely acoustic Pindrop Band will perform original songs and musical ideas inspired by Birds and Birdsong, featuring some of their newest and most unusual home made instruments - including the olive oil tin violin - or "violtin" as they call it. Expect much beating of wings and rustling of feathers ! Last year's sell out Concert was a huge success so book early to avoid disappointment. Call the Pindrop Club ticket line on 01275 810166
